ExhibitsFree-standing or table-top exhibits on environmental outreach, education, or community involvement topics or activities can be displayed in the conference exhibit area. These exhibits will be available for viewing during the entire conference. The exhibits will be displayed in an area of the hotel that is separate from the poster presentations and they will not be considered for the poster presentation awards. Note that exhibits to market commercial products or services are prohibited. Limited space is available for the display of exhibits and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to reserve space to display an exhibit, please contact Lisa Gebler, (Conference Coordinator) at 301-589-5318 or at lisa.gebler@emsus.com. Poster PresentationsThe poster presentation sessions provide another avenue for participants to share information about an interesting project or activity. Participants are encouraged to prepare and display a poster on their public education and community involvement projects. These stand-alone visual presentations will be on display throughout the conference and will be highlighted during the Networking Hour/Poster Session on Tuesday evening and a Poster Breakfast on Thursday morning. During these periods, participants will have an opportunity to speak one-on-one with the poster authors. Awards will be given for the two best posters to recognize those individuals with the most outstanding poster presentations. A panel of conference organizers will select the "Best Overall Award" and conference participants will vote on the "People's Choice Award." After viewing the posters and talking to the poster authors during the poster sessions, each participant can cast a vote for the People's Choice Award. Poster ballots will be distributed during the conference. The completed ballots will be collected in ballot boxes located in the poster area by 9:00 am, Thursday, June 17. The awards are open to any conference participant who presents a poster during the two poster sessions. The winner of the Best Overall Award and the People's Choice Award will be announced during the working lunch on Thursday, June 17 and the award recipients will be honored with a prize. In addition, the award-winning posters will be posted on this web page after the conference. The posters will be evaluated on:
