Green Meeting Policy

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of the 2005 U.S. EPA Community Involvement Conference and Training. With the goal of making the meeting "green," we will:

• Reduce the use of paper by disseminating information via the conference web site, offering an on-line registration system, and eliminating copies of presentation materials for conference sessions
• Print conference materials on recycled paper, using vegetable-based inks
• Ensure that all conference materials contain recycled content
• Collect and recycle paper and beverage containers used at the conference
• Offer vegetarian meals
• Work in partnership with the Buffalo Hyatt Regency Hotel to reduce energy and water consumption
• Promote public or shared transportation for travel between the hotel and the airport
